It's so hard for me to believe that my firstborn is 11 today. When they tell you don't blink - it's no joke. I am so seriously lucky to get to be this boys mom. He has taught me so much about life. I am beyond proud of the little man he is becoming. He is the one I never have to worry about. He's just genuinely kind and loving. He thinks about others before himself. He works hard to achieve his goals both in school and in life. He's ambitious - constantly searching for new ways to earn money. And he never spends it. He has more money saved then I do most of the time. He's truly remarkable. He gave me the greatest gift by making me a mother - being his mom was icing on the cake!
So excited to celebrate this day with him in the ways he requested - lunch at his school and dinner with his extended family. Presents? Nope - this boy just wants cash to add to his savings. If I was that responsible as a kid, well let's be honest...I'm not even that responsible as an adult. But I'm getting off topic here - Happy Birthday Connor!! You will always be my sunshine!!
