I'm the absolute worst at skincare, just ask my friends or my esthetician. She is utterly appalled at the way I care for my skin, or lack of care I give my skin. Now you're thinking why would I take your advice?!? And you are totally correct. DO.NOT. take my skincare routine advice. Now my product advice is a different story. Think of it this way - I take terrible care of my skin and it somehow it still looks as good as it does - so these products MUST be miracle workers. I will literally go to bed in my makeup, wake up the next morning and put moisturizer over the old makeup, and then reapply makeup over all of that. It's appalling.

When I actually do make the effort to maintain good skin these are the products I swear by and pretty much all that I will use. I'll try almost anything at least once but very few products get repurchased and used on the regular. These are the ones that made the cut. They are also simple to use and take minimal effort, which is basically my criteria for something worth adding to my beauty routine.

1) Skin Food Egg White Pore Perfect Cleansing Foam ($14) This is my absolute favorite face wash ever! It is so creamy. I have super dry skin in the colder months and this leaves my face feeling so soft & smooth. I use it EVERY time I shower (with the exception of the times I use a scrub). I rub it on my face and then use #2 to massage it into my skin. It's a serious keeper.

2) Solo Mio Sonic Facial Brush ($37) I've tried other options and usually they are just too rough on my skin. I have mild rosacea and if I scrub too hard my face turns so red I look like I walked my kids to the bus stop in my birthday suit (and on a bloated, winter hibernation hairy, no make-up, no hairbrush kind of day). This is gentle but gets the job done at the same time. It's super easy to wash & keep clean + the battery lasts a long time. I usually only charge it once a month.

3) Acure Brightening Facial Scrub ($8) I try and use this once a week to give my skin a good cleaning. A little goes a very long way and it will exfoliate & brighten just as advertised. It does cause my face to go pretty red for a bit but the rewards outweigh the stop sign color. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and bright.

4) Reusable Makeup Removing Cloths ($14) Ya'll these are a game changer! All you do is run them under warm water and they take all your makeup off + they are very soft. They work great for my sensitive skin and for a quick makeup repair. Also you can wash & re-use. Good-bye disposable wipes! Look at me making less waste (pat on back).

5) Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water ($5) If I have to travel I always bring this along to remove makeup & quickly cleanse my skin. It's super gentle on my face and leaves it feeling clean and fresh. I don't take my removing cloths because I don't want to have to pack anything wet. This is the best alternative for me!

6) Thayers Alchohol Free Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner ($6) Only toner I use - it's great for my sensitive skin and doesn't dry it out at all. I just dab it all over my face when I get out of the shower or after I remove my makeup. Quick & easy. It's a bestseller for a reason.

7) Mizon All in One Snail Repair Cream ($16) I know - SNAIL?!? Honestly not really sure how much of this cream is actually snail "juice"? (Yes, I realize I just made it grosser). I keep flashing back to the Pretty Woman dining scene while I apply it. I "may" have told my husband that my skin was a "slippery little sucker" after applying (and now I've made it naughty...) It claims to help repair acne scars, give elasticity to pores, and it's recommended for tired & sensitive skin (certainly had my number there). I can't promise it does any of those things but I've been using it in my skincare regime *meaning when I remember and am not too lazy to apply, so a very loose regime* and I think I can see a difference in my skin. It looks more even toned and a little less like I forgot to sleep for the last year. Is it the cream or all the other randomness combined? Who can say, but, for now I'm going to keep using it - in part because I like being able to say I put snail juice on my face when people ask me how I take care of my skin. Don't judge.

8) Malin + Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer ($50) If you only buy one of the products on my list - THIS IS THE ONE. I know, I too drew back at the price tag!! It's so much more than I like to spend on any one product. I got a tiny sample in my Birchbox and was literally cutting it open to get every last drop. This is hands down the best moisturizer I have ever encountered. I have tried a ridiculous amount of them. Pretty much half of the real estate under my sink is inhabited by moisturizers that I hoped would be the stuff of my dreams. This one actually met my fantasies and is the only part of my beauty routine I NEVER MISS. It has transformed the texture of my skin from dry and ruff to smooth and glowing. LOVE. IT. Plain and simple.

9) Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Dermagreen Cream ($35) If you suffer from rosacea or redness in your skin - this is a must-have. My skin flares up frequently and when I apply this green cream it does an excellent job of camouflaging the redness. It kinda leaves me looking a little ghostly but nothing a swipe of bronzer can't fix. I'll put it on in place of my foundation and then add some light bronzer all over my face. It does a great job of hiding the redness + it has sunscreen built in too. If I use it too frequently it can start to dry out my skin a bit so I try to save it for a red cheek day.

10) Hanalei Lip Treatment ($15) This is the best thing to happen to dry, or cracked lips. It's moisturizer for your lips and it works so much better than chapstick. Before meeting this pretty product I was an avid Carmax user but there's no going back for me. I use this pretty much every night before I go to bed and wake up with fresh smooth lips. I even use it in place of lipstick some days. An added bonus: it tastes good too!

Here's to pretty glowing skin and hopefully one of these products will help your skincare routine. Do you have a favorite product(s) that you swear by? Please comment below and share with me. I am always on the search for beauty products that will be the fountain of youth or at the very least keep me looking my best.
