I'm the absolute worst at skincare, just ask my friends or my esthetician. She is utterly appalled at the way I care for my skin, or lack of care I give my skin. Now you're thinking why would I take your advice?!? And you are totally correct. DO.NOT. take my skincare routine advice. Now my product advice is a different story. Think of it this way - I take terrible care of my skin and it somehow it still looks as good as it does - so these products MUST be miracle workers. I will literally go to bed in my makeup, wake up the next morning and put moisturizer over the old makeup, and then reapply makeup over all of that. It's appalling.
Microblading. If you are like me, you've heard of it but have a pretty fuzzy grasp of what it actually is. I thought it would be like getting a tattoo on my eyebrows. I'm picturing the same tattoo gun they used on my mistake of a lower back tattoo and brows that look like they were drawn in place. When Angela from Expressions Brow Studio reached out to me - I was kind of hesitant. But it couldn't have been more different than I have imagined. Seriously - it is amazing and a procedure I would recommend to everyone!
I'm a newbie to the world of anything resembling botox or needles in my face. My skincare routine is a joke. I consistently sleep in my makeup and some days - I wakeup and reapply on top of it. I have dry skin so I use tons of moisturizer. I also have lots of redness to my skin, mainly my cheeks. I finally went to the dermatologist and learned that I have rosacea. When I got the opportunity to try Babytox at Atlanta Face & Body - I was pretty nervous for several reasons. One of the course the needles and then there was the fear that it would make my super sensitive skin go crazy. If you're reading this and you're like "what in the world is babytox?" (It's not botox for babies...which makes me think of Zoolander saying "What is this? A center for ants?") - I promise I will explain! Just keep reading ya'll.
The things we do to look pretty - right?!? My daily makeup routine is a full 11 steps - so I guess it's pretty obvious now that I did not wake up like this. Then again - who honestly does? Don't worry though, despite the abundance of products the full routine only takes me about 7 mins. I change it up depending on the seasons. Winter requires the most makeup for me because my skin gets really dry and summer the least. These are my winter products (many of which I use year round). OK...now to break it down step by step and tell you why these products are amazing!
